To connect a drain discharge pipe, use a pipe with a minimum bore of 10, and a maximum length of 5 m. Avoid using a riser pipe.

Piping materials for low dew point air When air with a low dew point (40C or less) is required, do not use nylon tubing for the membrane air dryer's downstream piping. A characteristic of nylon tubing is that it is affected by the ambient air, and it may not be possible to obtain the specified low dew point at the end of the tube.
Do not use standard dew point 40C (symbol L) type, standard dew point 60C (symbol S) type and IDG30, 50, 30H, 50H for dehumidifying breathing air. Do not use only outlet air (dried air) in a closed room. Caution 1. Devise a layout which considers the position of purge air discharge ports. Purge air is humid air.
A valve, which might potentially cause a hum or buzz can be very annoying to a patient, so a full wave rectified unit for AC service is often preferred. A DC unit, not requiring a rectifier, is sometimes used in specific applications. Also common is a bumper in a 2-way valve, usually just a flat disk with no sealing action.
