The AK is a general check valve, and the AKM is a check valve that connects modularly between the AR (regulator) and the AL (lubricator) of an AC unit. It also features a branch piping port on the inlet side of the check valve to prevent lubricant from flowing into the branch piping side where lubrication is not desired.
