When the analog output type with a temperature sensor is selected, OUT2 is analog output, but only either the flow rate or the temperature can be selected for output.
Select the “Applicable Fluid,” “Flow Range,” and “Product Type” to determine the recommended product.
The simple selection program can be found here.
Note) The value of the factory default hysteresis H_1 varies depending on the part number (flow range).
However, we can perform an inspection to check whether the product is operating within the specification range (and submit an inspection report) if needed.
Contact your nearest SMC sales office for details.
Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, turn the flow adjusting screw to change the set flow.
For more information, refer to the IF3□□ series catalog, which can be found here.
As for the 1b contact, an ON signal is output when the flow rate drops from the set flow rate by the set hysteresis amount.
For IFW5□0 series flow switches, 1ab contact, 1a contact, or 1b contact can be selected. For IF3□□ series flow switches, only 1ab contact is available.
If the flow exceeds this level, the internal parts (bellows, etc.) may be damaged.
The IF3 series catalog can be found here.
If a C37 or stainless steel body is desired for a 2-way valve for air, select either the VX2□4 (for medium vacuum) or the VX2□2 (for water).
The difference in part numbers is due to the difference in sealant material: FKM (for medium vacuum) or NBR (for water). In addition, the VX2□4 (for medium vacuum) is oil-free as standard.
A product will be recommended based on the selected fluid, port size, electrical specifications, etc.
The selection software can be found here.
If the supply pressure is 0.4 MPa, the valve will not operate unless the supply pressure immediately after the OUT side piping of the 2-way valve is 0.3 MPa or more.
For VX2 series valves (although the flow rate drops), consider using a valve with a max. operating pressure differential of 0.4 MPa or higher, or use a valve from the VXD or VXZ series.
You will likely be asked to create a circuit. If this proves too difficult, consider the 4 W type (can be continuously energized) or the 10 W type (can be energized for up to 1 s) that can be used without an energy-saving driver.
The SX10 series catalog can be found here.
The use of coolants containing abrasives is not supported. (They may wear down the valves.)
Coolant contains anticorrosive agents and is used to prevent rust.
The coolant valves are therefore designed to be used with coolant only.
Therefore, special tools are required for proper installation.
Refer to the operation manual, which can be found here.
If planning to use the fluoropolymer tubing in a chemical environment, be sure to perform a thorough test in the actual environment to ensure that no problems occur.
This is because the tubing is likely to suffer premature damage and deterioration due to ultraviolet rays, wind, rain, and changes in air temperature.
However, as fluoropolymer tubing has excellent environmental resistance, it may be used outdoors at your own discretion.
When the solenoid valve is turned ON/OFF, the diaphragm operates, and the fluid is sucked in and discharged alternately.
PB series Working Principle and Circuit Example :Built-in Solenoid Valve/Air Operated can be found here.
