Fully interchangeable with our existing Series RB absorber range, this new series – with their patented spiral groove design - offer outstanding durability and a 30% reduction in cushioning time. Available in three energy absorbency options, 1, 3 and 10 (J) and stroke lengths of 6, 7 and 12mm respectively, Series RJ really is the ideal choice when soft absorption is a necessity.

The RB shock absorber has a specially designed orifice that compensates for varying speeds and loads to consistently decelerate loads without requiring additional adjustment. The double seal enclosure consists of a scraper and a rod seal, provides extra insurance against leakage. The RB series shock absorbers are available in six sizes and all withstand an impact speed of 16 ft/sec.

For RB series shock absorbers, in addition to taking the kinetic energy into account, you need to calculate the corresponding mass considering the impacts of air cylinder thrust and gravitational acceleration. For RJ series shock absorbers, in the case of air cylinder driving and free fall, the corresponding mass does not need to be calculated.

There shouldn’t be any problems with the direct positioning of RB and RJ series shock absorbers on the body end face. Depending on the operating conditions, the stroke length may be longer or the operation may be stiff near the stroke end. In such cases, use the stopper nut to limit the stroke amount.
Note) For RB-OEM series shock absorbers, install an external stopper.
